Consummation & Restoration
The death of the dead and dying is for the living; the apocalyptic end is for a new beginning.
If, indeed, all the world will be made to worship God at the praiseworthy occasion of Day 1,335 in that the Jews will be fully restored and glorified within Jerusalem (Isa. 60:1-22, 66:23), what is to be expected from Day 1,290 to Day 1,335 in respect to the divine rearragment at hand? I bid the reader’s attention to Isaiah! For, to understand the blessedness of the waiting & coming souls who find their way to Jerusalem by Day 1,335 (Dan. 12:12), we must follow Isaiah’s prophecies from the earliest point to the lastest point to understand the chronology of futurity from start to finish. In other words, we must understand the consummation & the restoration according to Isaiah.
“And he [the Antichrist] shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.” – Dan. 9:27
“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” – Matt. 24:3
The English word, “consummation” (Dan. 9:27), appears only one time in Scripture; yet, the same word and or idea is used in scores of vital prophecies that pertain to the Last Days. The word literally means complete, or end, in the same way the apostles inquired concerning the 2nd Coming of Christ, in the terms, “what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?” (Matt. 24:3). Surely the apostles had the prophecies of Daniel on their mind when asking such a question, don’t you think?
Further indicating this, consider how the prophet Daniel grapples with the hidden mysteries that pertain to “the time of the end” (Dan. 12:9) at the close of the Book of Daniel. Being forbidden to comprehened the full scope of the subject, Daniel is commanded, “…go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of days” (Dan. 12:13). Surely, the apostles were desiring to know what was withheld from Daniel in the revealing of the end of days. Perceiving this, and knowing the biblical basis for the question asked, the Lord Jesus gave a direct answer: He spoke to them about when “the end” is or isn’t and how to tell (Matt. 24:6, 14), with the critical issue being the arrival of the Antichrist (Matt. 24:15) who directly foreruns “the consummation” according to Daniel 9:27.
Evidently, “the consummation” signifies “the End of the World” (Dan. 9:27, Matt. 24:3). Literally, the word means complete in the sense that the world is coming to an end. However, the word is meant to be understood in the fullest sense of all its meanings. Literally & definitively, the end which the consummation brings is an ending via a consumption or a total consuming. This is easily demonstrated by looking up the various uses of the Hebrew word which translates to, “ consummation”, in Daniel 9:27. The Hebrew word, כָּלָה (kâlâh - H3615), translates to “consumption” in Isaiah 10:22 & 28:22, “consume” in Nehemiah 9:31, and “end” in Ezekiel 20:17 & Jeremiah 30:11.
In every translation the meaning intended speaks of an ending by consumption or a death by a consuming destruction. Accordingly, through the determining decrees of God, the Armies of Assyria & Babylon waged campaigns of death and destruction upon Israel / Judah and various other heathen nations amounting to the foretold consumption, historically speaking (Isa. 10:22, 28:22), but the LORD was emphatic in promising a total consumption to heathen nations (Jer. 30:11) and a limited consumption to Israel & Judah (Ezek. 20:17, Neh. 9:31, Jer. 30:11). Nevertheless, the threat of consumption does not die with historical Assyria or Babylon. For, the scope of prophetic declaration far exceeds what these historical entities were enabled to accomplish.
Thus, the world awaits what Daniel was informed of in Daniel 9:27; a consummation that the world has yet to see, one deserved by the likes of future Babylon, also called “Mystery Babylon the Great” (Rev. 17:5), for all its abominations committed under the rule of Antichrist (Rev. 13:1-18, 2 Thess. 2:3-12, & Dan. 9:27). Indicating this, Daniel 9:27 foretells a cessation of the proliferating abominations that incure multi-dimensional desolations. Specifically, in that the abominations will continue unstopped, “even until the consummation” (Dan. 9:27). This is because, at the consummation, “that determined shall be poured upon the desolate” (Dan. 9:27).
“And I heard a great voice out of the Temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.” – Rev. 16:1
Statedly, the foretold consummation is what interrupts the abominations of the Antichrist! Therefore, this consummation is none other than the Vials of Revelation 16 – outpourings of divine wrath wherein the Armies of Heaven besiege and then invade Earth for the 2nd Advent War (The Winepress & the Amires of Heaven in Worldwide Battle). Literally, from the vantage point of Heaven, the Vials will be “poured” upon the Empire of Babylon just as Daniel 9:27 specifically indicates. All terminology aside, the condition of the world in the aftermath of the 2nd Advent War is plainly described in Biblical Prophecy. This only further confirms the meaning of the commonly misunderstood prophetic word, “the consummation” (Dan. 9:27). Take, for example, what Isaiah describes in Isaiah 24:1-20.
“Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattered abroad the inhabitants thereof…The land shall be utterly emptied and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.” – Isa. 24:1, 3-6
“Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth. And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake. The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.” – Isa. 24:17-20
Isaiah describes exactly what is intended by the word, “the consummation” (Dan. 9:27). Literally, it’s a total destruction and therein an ending! Yet, gloriously, the apocalyptic end is for a new beginning! The restoration, or the “restitution of all things” (Acts. 3:20-21), is the ultimate goal of the 2nd Coming of Christ; it is a glorious finale of redemption that all the prophets spoke about, but none more than Isaiah!
“And He shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: whom the Heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.” – Acts 3:20-21
Simply put, Day 1,260 to Day 1,290 is a seemingly impossible consummation of Satan’s Kingdom & Humanity’s Pride via the total consumption of Babylon’s World (the greatest empire of fallen humanity ever to exist); while, thereafter, Day 1,290 to Day 1,335 is a seemingly impossible restoration from an utter destruction to wit the Jews, Jerusalem, & their Anointed One will be the glory of the new world (“Thine eyes shall see the King in His beauty…” – Isa. 33:17)! Henceforth, in looking at the consummation & the restoration (according to Isaiah), our goal is to determine the exact point of conversion for the Jews who are alive in the aftermath of the 2nd Advent War (Zech. 13:8-9); and, seeing that the Jews in general were scattered worldwide in Babylon’s Empire alongside half of the Jews who dwelt in Jerusalem (Zech. 14:1-2), we need to examine Isaiah’s testimony as it pertains to the Jews leading into the consummation and finalizing in the restoration.
